Tragedy for Christian Music Star

(EZ-Tracks) - Steven Curtis Chapman has been making headlines in the world of Christian music for over 20 years, but today he’s making headlines for a much more somber reason. Wednesday, Chapman’s 5-year-old daughter, Maria, was run over by a vehicle being driven by Chapman’s older son. The victim later passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. AP reports that Police are currently classifying the event as a tragic accident. The accident occurred in the driveway of 45-year-old Chapman’s Nashville home. Several family members reportedly witnessed the scene. In addition to winning numerous Christian music Dove Awards and Grammys, Chapman released a book about fatherhood titled "Cinderella: The Love of Daddy and his Princess."

Chapman has made a career out of inspiring and comforting others through his music. Surely his family, friends and fans will do the same for him now.
