| (EZ-Tracks) - When news came out that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler entered a rehabilitation facility recently, most people assumed it was for substance abuse.
However, according to AP, Tyler has released a statement clarifying that he was not in rehab for substance abuse, but for physical therapy. According to reports, the singer’s statement explains that he has recently undergone a series of painful surgeries to repair damage to his feet. The resulting pain and physical therapy caused him to enter the facility for treatment because he, “Really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet.” While this explanation could seem a bit questionable based on the singer’s infamous past as a hard-partying rock’n’roll icon in the ‘70s, his years of intense live performances on stage could certainly have inflicted some major damage on his body. Tyler’s daughter, Liv, has recently made headlines as well, after announcing her divorce from musician Royston Langdon. | ||||||||||||
