Suspicious Fire Destroys 50 Cent’s House

Karen, 05.31.2008, 08:00 AM
(EZ-Tracks) - A luxurious home owned by acclaimed, and controversial, rapper 50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson) went up in flames Friday morning in a wealthy community of Long Island, NY, AP reports.

Jackson no longer resides the home which is currently occupied by ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and her children. Tompkins and Jackson’s young son were reportedly among those injured in the blaze.

In an early review of events, investigators have deemed the fire suspicious, particularly in light of the recent legal issues surrounding the property. Purchased by Jackson for nearly $2.6 million, Tompkins is fighting eviction from the property following her breakup with the star. He had allegedly promised, via email, to divide his earnings with her, including the property, AP reports.

The ongoing suit is set to appear in state Supreme Court in Manhattan on June 10.
I can understand being mad at your ex-girlfriend, but kicking your own kids out of a house seems cruel.
