| (EZ-Tracks) - The king of escapism, Jimmy Buffet, has partnered with a New York gambling company to purchase the Trump Marina Hotel Casino in Atlantic City for $316 million according to an article on RollingStone.com
“For years, Jimmy Buffett has extolled the virtues of getting drunk and screwing. With his latest business venture, an Atlantic City casino-hotel called Margaritaville, he’s created a venue to do those things — and gamble too,” said the Web site. Buffet is the consummate franchisee, owning stakes in tequila, beer, frozen food, and footwear businesses, not to mention restaurants, a resort, a record label and a recording studio, according to the Web site. In 2006, Rolling Stone estimated his earnings at $44 million — the seventh-most of any musician, His last studio album was Take the Weather With You. | ||||||||||||
