Jessica Simpson to Market Beer

(EZ-Tracks) - To add to her many promotional activities, Jessica Simpson is now marketing beer, according to an Associated Press report. The singer/actress has inked a deal to become a spokeswoman for Stampede Light Plus, made by Dallas' Stampede Brewing Company. According to a story first reported in the Dallas Morning News, Simpson will appear in ads in stores for the beer and is taking a 15 percent stake in the brewer. The exact terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Lawrence Schwartz, Stampede's president and chief executive, said Simpson was now the face of the brand. Simpson said in a statement that as an entrepreneur she's "always looking for ways to diversify my portfolio with good ideas and good people." Stampede Light bills itself as a beer for active people. Simpson already markets her own line of hair care products, handbags, shoes and coming in 2009 lingerie. She’s also a pitchwoman for Pizza Hut and Proactiv Solution.
Being a salesperson is a good career move for Simpson, seeing as though she stinks at singing and acting.
