| (EZ-Tracks) - After being an outspoken critic of the MTV Video Music Awards, controversial rapper Kanye West has decided to cross the picket line and perform at Sunday’s 25th annual award’s ceremony in Hollywood, according to a Reuters report.
Last year, West was up in arms over his treatment at the show, when his performance was relegated to a small stage in the Las Vegas venue. West also failed to win any awards and accused the music cable network of exploiting Britney Spears, who inadvertently grabbed the headlines when she dreadfully lip-synched and danced to her new song. Fading pop diva Spears will again open the show this year, but she will not perform. West, who will close the VMA’s, will also be joined by Christina Aguilera and the Jonas Brothers, as they perform their hit tunes at the gala event. In recognition of the ceremony's silver anniversary, MTV plans to pay homage to the show's illustrious past, with special performances by Katy Perry and others. | ||||||||||||
