| (EZ-Tracks) - Rapper Snoop Dogg has convinced California Governer Arnold Schwarzenegger to meet with imprisoned murderer Stanley Tookie Williams legal team. Snoop Dogg asked for clemency in his friends impending death sentence when he joined in on a rally last week outside San Quentin Prison in California. Williams has done a lot of reform work while behind bars for his community trying to divert youth from getting into the gang lifestyle and making the same mistakes as he did. Schwarzenegger, who has yet to overturn any death sentences in his term as Governor, has agreed to consider giving the jailed former Crips gang leader the Christmas gift of life. Williams is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on December 13. Schwarzenegger's press secretary Margita Thompson says, "The Governor reviewed the material in the case this week and he decided the best route is a private clemency hearing, so he can hear directly from counsel." | ||||||||||||
