Seattle, Bumbershoot Music Festival

(EZ-Tracks) - This coming year’s Bumbershoot Music Festival looks like it’s going to be a real crowd pleaser. Besides Kanye West, other notable musical acts set to participate in the festival are: A Tribe Called Quest, Hawthorne Heights, AFI, and Yellowcard. The festival occupies a 74-acre site, and is a three day smorgasbord of music, theater, film, comedy, dance, a variety of alternative arts, and even a roller derby. Reports estimate that more than 1,500 artists are expected to perform at the various venues Bumbershoot is hosting. Last year, at the 2005 Bumbershoot Festival, there was 30-foot tall volcano that belched candy and foam at the crowd. If this is any indication of things to come, fans should be wary of an uproariously good time. The festival takes place Labor Day weekend.

Slimy candy belched out of a volcano? I can’t wait. This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
