Ozzy Plays Second Stage at Ozzfest | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - This coming Ozzfest will mark its 11th running year, but more importantly it will make Ozzfest history. Last year, Ozzy Osbourne who’s been headlining the tour every year, either as a solo artist or with Black Sabbath, declared that he was retiring from touring. However, things are not what they seem – this year, Ozzy is back, but not as the headliner. Though he will be headlining 10 of the shows of the tour’s many stops, he will for the most part be playing on the second stage, a smaller grimier stage, which in the past has been reserved for up-and-comers and unknowns. With all his touring experience, cache, and legacy, why would Ozzy ever want to play second stage? For Ozzy, the answer is obvious – all his stardom has made him lose the human contact that comes with playing smaller shows; he misses playing close to the fans. | ||||||||||||
