| (EZ-Tracks) - The Black Eyed Peas have long been involved in philanthropic efforts through their Peapod Foundation which has been working with the needy since its inception. Most recently, the Black Eyed Peas threw a Peapod Benefit Concert at the Johannesburg Stadium. The concert was free and drew more than twenty-thousand fans, all in hopes of raising money for the people of South Africa. Some highlights from the show included Rita Marley joining the Black Eyed Peas onstage to sing a rendition of Where Is the Love? It just so happens that this wasnt the first time Rita joined forces with the Peas for charity last year, they worked together in Philadelphia to promote the Live 8. The Johannesburg show also marks the Peas first effort to launch an international project; in South Africa, the Peapod Foundation will be working with the Adopt-A-School Foundation that also happens to support a wide variety of other social issues. | ||||||||||||
