Black Crowes Release the Unreleased

(EZ-Tracks) - Soon, the Black Crowes will be releasing material that’s never before been heard. The unreleased material will be released on August 29th thanks to a Rhino Double-Disc set entitled “The Lost Crowes.” The songs that make up this album are practically ancient –they’re old enough to be considered “classics” had they been released when they were originally recorded as far back as 1993. However, there will also be some songs on that album that are just plain re-recorded. The first disc is entitled “The Band Sessions,” and it’s comprised of the songs that were recorded in 1997. These songs were initially meant to be part of a follow-up album to the Black Crowes’ “Three Snakes & One Charm” album. On the second disc “The Tall Sessions,” fans will find another 16 tracks taken from the aforementioned time period. The following is a preview of track list for fans of the Crowes that can’t wait until August 29th. On Disc 1 (The Band Sessions): Paint an 8; Grinnin; If It Ever Stops Raining; Wyoming & Me; Predictable; Never Forget This Song; Life Vest; Another Roadside Tragedy; My Heart’s Killing Me; Peace Anyway – on Disc 2 (The Tall Sessions): A Conspiracy; Evil Eye; Cursed Diamond; London P25; Dirty Hair Halo; High Head Blues; Feathers; Nonfiction; Tired Up and Swallowed; Wiser Time; Sunday Buttermilk Waltz; Descending; Lowdown; Tornado; Songs of the Flesh; Thunderstorm 6:54.

Wow – a whole two disc album, I hope it’s for the price of one, especially since none of these songs were good enough to make it on an album 10 years ago.

I've been listening to it on the jukebox at the bar I shoot pool at for about a year now.My opinion is that there are a few tracks that I play every chance I get. " Wiser Time " " High Headed Blues "and my favorite " Tied Up and Swallowed "
