Bob Dylan & Modern Times

(EZ-Tracks) - Bob Dylan’s album, “Love and Theft,” which was released in 2001 was his best crack at The Billboard 200 since 1979 when he released “Slow Train Coming.” Now, after 5-years, he’s back in the studio and gearing up to release his 44th album this summer. On August 29th, Bob Dylan will release “Modern Times” a much anticipated 10-track album that he recorded with his touring band mates. Among the songs that Bob Dylan fans are most excited about are: “Workingman’s Blues,” “Spirit on the Water,” “When the Deal Goes Down,” and “Thunder on the Mountain.” Whether “Modern Times” and Dylan’s new songs will hold up to “Love and Theft” or “Slow Train Coming” is yet to be determined – however, many Dylan fans speculate that unlike other old timer rockers, Dylan’s inspirational fan base just keeps getting bigger and more loyal. There is much speculation that “Modern Times” will surpass the 1,000,000 mark in sales, crushing past record debuts.

It must be tough for Jacob Dylan to call himself a musician while his father is still out there making moves – Bob should step aside and let his kid take the throne.
