‘Miami Vice’ Returns From The 80’s

(EZ-Tracks) - There's a new chapter in the Miami Vice epic, and Michael Mann, Colin Farrell, and Jamie Foxx have done well to make sure the new one looks nothing like the old. While fans of the original Miami Vice TV series may remember Don Johnson as the lovable Detective "Sonny" Crocket, they may be surprised to see Colin Farrell's take on the role. Advance screenings that have given the audience of taste of what's to come have revealed the new Miami Vice to be much edgier and darker than what fans may have expected. Incidentally, the additional sex and violence used to spice up this film may, in fact, be more true to life than the original TV series ever was. In addition to "story updates," the musical score of the film has also been changed to reflect the tastes of the audience, make it more hip, and to coincide with the edgier theme. It's for this reason that the box office isn't the only one expecting to see big returns; music download sites are also gearing up in anticipation for mass downloads of Miami Vice songs or mp3s, which are expected to become increasingly popular as this summer blockbuster battles its way for the top box office slot.

If Jamie Foxx doesn't sing and Colin Farrell doesn't do anything too sleazy then I'm sure this movie will be one to remember.
