Pete Townshed and Roger Daltrey of ‘The Who’ disagree on Webcasting | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, of The Who, have gotten into a tiff over an issue regarding the broadcasting of several of The Who’s live shows on the internet. Townshend thinks that broadcasting the shows over the internet (which were played for the sake of charity) would be a nice thing to do. Daltrey, in one of his “moods,” has expressed that he has no interest in the internet and incidentally, no real interest in charity either. Daltrey’s foul attitude has caused some to wonder why he even played charity shows in the first place if this is truly how he felt – some scholars have gone as far as to insinuate that Daltrey only did the charity shows so he could “get at” the college groupies and relive his wild youth. On the opposing side, Townshend, who was arrested on charges of child pornography, in 2003, may needlessly be inflaming the situation. Whatever the case, Townshend and Daltrey need to stop crying about the internet and what to do with their “band” – realistically, the two of them are The Who’s only surviving members and as far as most standards go, that doesn’t constitute much of anything except maybe a couple. | ||||||||||||
