The Game Faces Lawsuit from Police

Lisa Rogers, 11.09.2006, 09:49 AM
(EZ-Tracks) - The Game is being sued by several North Carolina police officers who arrested the rapper at a shopping center. It seems as if police have joined the personal injury lawsuit fad. Officers Matthew Brown, Ryan Childrey, David Gregory, Hien Nguyen and Romaine Watkins have jumped on the bandwagon and decided it’s time to get theirs.

Police are suing under the pretexts of libel, slander, and having their images misappropriated because a video which displays them pepper spraying The Game’s henchmen and taking down the Game himself has been floating around the internet. Due to the publicity this has received, the Police claim to fear for their safety as they believe The Game’s fans may be seeking retaliation.

However, your average music lover may see this as something other than justice. According to the blogosphere, it appears as if the police are just adding insult to injury – not only do they arrest the Game and pepper-spray his friends, they sue him, too!
Genius! I hope we can look forward to more instances of police suing rowdy celebrities. That’s more entertaining than celebrity love-lives for sure.
