Yoko Ono calls for healing on anniversary of John Lennon's death | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - With rumors and news of a commemorative Princess Diana benefit, Yoko Ono refuses to be one upped – after all, it was John Lennon who wrote “Imagine.” Yoko has taken out a full page ad in the Sunday issue of The New York Times imploring readers to join her in a crusade against violence and war. Yoko has decided that the anniversary of John Lennon’s death, December 8th, should become a global forgiveness day of sorts… a call for worldwide healing. In Yoko’s letter, she asserts that people need to accept the burden of intervention for victims around the world. She also takes a moment out of her letter to speak directly to generic victims of injustice, reminding them that the rest of the world will pick up the slack when those directly responsible to provide justice fail miserably. One thing that was relatively absent in Yoko’s open letter was whether or not she meant it as a call for Federal Aide, aide from “The World Community,” or from private entities that care. | ||||||||||||
