Jay-Z Chooses Peace | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - "I Declare War" was the original slogan for the show and Jay-Z had every intention of giving a few artists a piece of his mind at Power 105.1's Power House Concert, held this past weekend in New Jersey—but at the 11th hour Jay-Z decided against ripping other artists apart on stage who have pissed him off through the years and decided to go the peace route. When the curtains opened Jay-Z was sitting behind a desk in a mock Oval Office setting, but instead of ranting against many hip-hop rivals the Def Jam Records prez passed along a message of unity, not conflict. "All that beef stuff is done, we had our fun. Let's get this money." The biggest surprise of the night was when NAS walked out on stage, receiving gasps from the 20,000 fans in attendance. The two artists split a few tracks and hugged, symbolizing the end to their gangster beef. Kanye West and Diddy also made appearances, and at the end of the night Jay performed "Encore" while LeBron James and the majority of the artists who had performed during the evening came back out on stage. | ||||||||||||
