With a sound equal parts gospel, R&B and hip hop, 112 forged their identity in the mid 90s as one of the most successful wholesome act off the Bad Boy label. Formed in Atlanta, Georgia by four high school friends—Marvin (Slim), Daron, Q, and Mike—the group started playing at local music events, which ultimately led them to two producers who had ties with hip hop impresario Sean "Puffy" Combs.
