Drawing on the romantic balladeers of the past, Blackstreet became one of the top R&B vocal groups of the 90s. The quartet was formed in1993 by Teddy "Street" Riley, a highly regarded producer who had worked with the likes of Bobby Brown and Michael Jackson, as well as performed in the successful trio Guy.
