Blondie pictures show a New York City-based
band that was one of the most popular groups
to emerge from the late 1970s New Wave
Punk era. In 1979 the group had a number
one hit in “Heart of Glass.” The group’s
second transatlantic chart topper was “Call
Me,” the theme from the movie American
Gigolo. In 1981 the group disbanded to work
on solo projects. Blondie photos show the
group’s founders, Debra Harry and Chris Stein.
