Brick was a 1970s Atlanta-based band that blended funk and jazz to come up with a new genre they called “dazz.” Brick pictures feature band members Jimmy Brown, Ray Ransom and Eddie Irons. After signing to the Bang label, their first single, "Dazz," topped the R&B charts and was number-three pop in 1976. Brick scored two more huge hits in 1977, "Dusic" and "Ain't Gonna' Hurt Nobody," each with a chunky, propulsive beat and catchy, light pop-jazz refrain.
