An all-white Canadian quartet of the 50s, The Diamonds found a niche for themselves by recording covers of songs performed by black soul singers. The original members of the group included Dave Somerville (lead), Ted Kowalski (tenor), Phil Levitt (baritone), and Bill Reed (bass).
