First as lead vocalist for a hugely successful Irish pop group, and then segueing into an admirable solo career, Dolores O'Riordan has earned a reputation as one of Ireland's most accomplished pop divas. Born September 6, 1971 in County Limerick, O'Riordan responded to a newspaper advertisement for a vocalist and was hired by the band The Cranberries in 1990.
