Fostering an unlikely fusion of

classical music, the Electric Light
Orchestra became one of the most popular groups of the 1970s and 80s. The band was formed in Birmingham, England in the fall of 1970, with an original lineup consisting of frontman
Roy Wood, guitarist/composer Jeff Lynne, bassist Rick Price, and drummer Bev Bevan.
