Born on March 22, 1981, Shawn Tapiwa Mims, aka
MIMS, is bringing the
rap music of Washington Heights, New York to the world at large. With both his father and mother passing away before MIIMS was 15, the future star had a very rough time as a youngster, but he put the sorrow behind him and decided to make a name for himself in the rap world.
