Starting out as a gospel group and later dealing in a more secular country pop sound, The Oak Ridge Boys have managed to become one of the longest-running country music groups. The group dates back to 40s when they started off as a gospel quartet, first appeared at the Grand Ole Opry and made their first recordings.
