Rainbow pictures show one of the successful heavy metal bands to emerge out of the 1970s. The brainchild of former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and charismatic frontman, Ronnie James Dio, the band would string together a series of highly successful albums that became staples of the heavy metal genre. The group would change its approach after Dio and Blackmore left alienating many of their fans, but not before the release of eight albums still considered classics.
