With their unique blend of pop rock and roll, Slade was definitely on of the most exciting new bands to come out of Great Britain in the early 70s. Comprised of singer/guitarist Noddy Holder, guitarist Dave Hill, bassist Jimmy Lea, and drummer Don Powell, the group changed their name a few times and tried various looks before they arrived at Slade, started penning their own tunes, and grew their hair long, emulating the glam rockers of the period.
