With an eclectic sound ranging from blues rock to disco pop, the Scottish alternative rock band Texas has been a steady presence on the charts internationally. Founded in Glasgow in 1986 by band veteran Johnny McElhone, the group originally consisted of McElhone, bass, Eddie Campbell, keyboards, Ally McErlaine, guitar, Richard Hynd, drums and Sharleen Spiteri, vocals and guitar.
