Formed in Los Angeles in 1975, The Brothers Johnson were a hard funk duo that lit up the charts in the late 70s and early 80s. The band consisted of Brothers George Johnson (guitarist, vocalist) and Louis (bassist, vocalist), aka Lightnin Licks and Thunder Thumbs respectively.
