Adding a touch of metal to their punk, the Garden Grove, California-based outfit, The
Offspring, became a sensation in the mid-90s and continue their crossover appeal to this day. The band was formed in 1984 by guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland and bassist Greg Kriesel, who met on their high
school cross-country team.
