A British alternative pop duo The Ting Tings are one of the freshest acts to break out in on both sides of the Atlantic in the new millennium. The duo of Jules De Martino (drums, guitar, vocals) and Katie White (vocals, guitar, bass drum) came together in 2004 after the pair had met at Leeds University in Manchester, England, and discovered they had a mutual distrust of the music industry thanks to some bad experiences while playing in other bands.
