One of the greatest soul groups to come out of Philadelphia, The Delfonics pioneered the rich, orchestral sound for which the city would become known. The band was formed in 1965, with original members William and Wilbert Hart, Samuel Edlightoon, Ritchie Daniels, Merfhab Isvardsoon and Randy Cain.
