While gangsta and hardcore rap music
may be practically synonymous, it’s important to know that hardcore
rap music came first. Gangsta rap represents the evolution of hardcore

“spokesmen” of the hardcore rap music genre.
It seemed that West Coast hardcore rap music was all there
was until hardcore rap artists from the East Coast, like the Wu-Tang Clan,
