The new Apple iPod Nano is redesigned for video with a 2-inch backlit LCD screen and the same familiar clickwheel. The new short, stout design is just as thin as ever and easily fits into your pocket just like the last generation. Its one of the lightest MP3 players on the market and comes in a plethora of different colors.
The new iPod Nano has a beautiful new, well backlit 2 inch LCD color screen and comes with a nice new twist to apples recognizable menu system. The player now displays art to the right as you scroll through menus, letting you associate the art with the artist. Something to notice from other MP3 player reviews is that this is one of the only MP3 players that displays such high quality art as you scroll.
The iPod Nano is incredibly thin, short and stout. Wider than its predecessor to fit the new 2-inch screen, it has changed shape for the better fitting more comfortably towards the bottom of your pocket. Another benefit to it being so thin is the weight Apple had to shave off to make it that way.
The audio quality on the iPod Nano very good granted you use good headphones. The Nano does have EQ options built in, but they aren't too amazing. If you know what you want to hear however you can make the Nano play it.
The new redesign of the classic iPod interface is being used on the iPod Nano. This new interface lets you see your album art as you go through artists and songs. It also has the included feature of a coverflow display for your albums. Its not as cool to play with as coverflow on the iPod Touch or the iPhone but it still looks very nice and works flawlessly.
The battery life on the iPod Nano is great for a player of its size, not only for music but for video as well. The screen, which seems like it would use up juice quickly, will play video for five hours on a full charge.
Between the better visual interface and the beautiful screen the new iPod Nano is a nice well performing choice if you're looking for a tiny portable MP3 player. Being one of the lightest and smallest options on the market, the asking price of $149.00 for the 4 gig and $199.00 for the 8 gig is not only reasonable, but it's a great deal.
