The screen itself is smaller than that on the previous PSP’s, at 3.8 inches with a resolution of 480 x 272 (16:9 widescreen) as opposed to the PSP 3000’s 4.3 inch display. The system is definitely designed for maximum portability but at the same time Sony has managed to fix small design issues (like button placement) to make this the most functional PSP yet.

As for free music for PSP, it will be playable as on other non-game oriented systems on the market. It has the capabilities to play MP3, WAV, WMA and Sony’s own ATRAC3, as well as MPEG-4 encoded video, AVI, and a plethora of different image formats. Its media playing capabilities are even further enhanced by the addition of Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR allowing Bluetooth headsets to be tethered to the PSP go. Though almost nobody has really evaluated the interface yet it is assumed by most that it will function almost exactly like the previous PSP’s as far as menu function is concerned. User will be able to download music to PSP through wi-fi and the PlayStation Store, as well as through the USB cable from any windows PC. The go will also be able to provide analog video out so it can be used as a source for almost any television (with the proper connector cable). The system also has its own built in speakers and microphone, as expected.

As far as its function as a portable game console, the PSP go is likely to be just as good and slightly more comfortable to hold than its older brothers, but as a psp music downloads player it has made leaps and bounds. The smaller size will make it easier for the user to carry on daily adventures, and the lack of a UMD (universal media disk) drive will hopefully increase the battery life enough so it can be reliable for playback over long periods of time.
