Horses are also spooked by fireworks! Secure fences, barns, keep a light on, play music. Photos of animals help find lost ones!

Pleasse make sure all your animals are safe tonight. Bring them indoors and turn on music or tv. This is a horrible night for pets.

keyboards, Hilton Valentine on the guitar, Chas Chandler on the bass, and John Steel on the drums. The Animals had a unique blend of blues and rock & roll. The group got their name from the earlier chaotic shows that were so rambunctious they were called by the other bands "animals."

The Animals first success was with the blues song "House of the Rising Sun," which gained the group a number 1 hit. "Don't Bring Me Down" was another hit that was ahead of its time. "Gin House Blues" is Burdon at his best singing with frightening authority. "It's My Life" was the group's last single before they fell apart in 1966.

The band became caught up in the 60's LSD explosion that lead to the Animals break up. Burdon and Valentine become entranced with the drug while the rest of the band was sick and tired of their band-mates habits. The band briefly reunited in 1977 but would never recapture the success and spark they once had in the 60's.
