sister Keavy, keyboardist Sinead O'Caroll and guitarist Lindsay Armaou. Inspired by the success of the Lynch sisters' brother Shane -- a member of Boyzone -- the group took to extensive rehearsal and writing sessions before signing with the Glow Worm label. Their first single, C'Est La Vie," was heavily hyped and topped the British charts upon its release in late May of 1998, making them the youngest female group ever to do so. The follow-up, "Rollercoaster," also debuted at number one upon its release. B*Witched's self-titled debut LP was released in November 1998, reaching Number 3 in the UK charts and eventually being certified double platinum in the UK and platinum in the US. B*Witched's second album, Awake and Breathe, released almost exactly a year after their debut, peaked at Number 5 on the charts but did not sell as well as the debut. After touring Europe and America, the band began work on a third album. A handful of new songs were recorded and released, including "Hold On" (featured in The Princess Diaries), "Mickey" (featured in Bring It On), and "Play That Funky Music". The latter two appeared on an American EP, Across America 2000. The group appeared on the American soap opera General Hospital in July 2001, but could not avert their dismissal from their record label in 2002, leading to a split in September of that year. Extremely talented, the girls pursued solo careers after the band's untimely demise.
