Baby D music biography continued...
born Donald B. on November 5, 1983, released his first album, Off Da Chain, when he was just sixteen. The album, from the Big Oomp label, won kudos from crunk fans everywhere, who lauded such Baby D songs as "Eastside vs. Westside," "Bounce That Azz" and "Back Up," and commented that "If you need some party music or something to bump in the whip then this is surefire guaranteed to get the job done. Classic. Recommended." Two years later his follow up, Lil' Chopper Toy was released to even more underground acclaim. One fan said: "if you want that dirty south crunk sound, you'll play it from start to finish. There's hard core bass, untouchable beats, and rhymes. Big Oomp does run Atlanta." A major label bidding war for Baby D ensued, garnering the young MC a multi-million dollar deal with Epic Records. He is now signed to Koch Records, and is preparing to release his first mainstream album, "A-Town Secret Weapon."
