Seattle, Washington to musically inclined parents who had him singing on self-made stages since the time he was 5. Lewis started beat boxing at seventeen, picking up this talent purely by ear, and also taught himself to play drums and keyboard. He joined an a cappella group four years out of high school, but quit in 2002 to work as a solo entertainer.
