Boz Scaggs: Lowdown-#3-1976: Scaggs had been playing guitar in several bands with Steve Miller during the 60s and ventured out as a solo artist by the early 70s. After several tries with little success he finally found a niche with a low-key jazz like approach on his Silk Degrees album in 1976 that went on to sell over 5 million copies. “Lowdown” was his only top 10 single, peaking at the #3 spot but selling Gold. He continued his success throughout the 70s and into the early 80s but took an extended time off before recording again in 1994 after almost 14 years away from the studio.
