violin lessons when he was just 4 years old, and eventually dropped out of school to pursue a music career. In 2002, Merriweather's scored his first commercial release with a guest appearance on the track "All I Want" from Australian dance act Disco Montego's self-titled album. Soon after, he was featured on the tune "She's Got Me" from DJ/Producer Mark Ronson's Here Comes the Fuzz album. Merriweather's debut solo single "City Rules" (produced by Ronson and featuring raps from New York MC Saigon) followed in early 2004 with "She's Got Me" released as its follow-up. The tune, highly popular at clubs in Australia, eventually won an ARIA award for Best Urban Release. In 2009, Merriweather released his debut album, Love and War, and supported it with tours in which he opened for the likes of Kanye West and Justin Timberlake. Heading into the 10s,' Merriweather looks absolutely unstoppable.
