Dolly Parton Biography |
Dolly Parton is best known for her busty figure and as a television personality. Parton began singing country music when she was a child in Nashville, Tennessee. Parton’s first taste of success came when she began writing songs for Hank Williams Jr. and Skeeter Davis in 1965. Her first full length album came out in 1967 called Hello I’m Dolly. Soon after, Parton joined Porter Wagoner on a country music TV program. Dolly Parton is the most amazing country music singer ever to be heard in todays world.I have so much time for her & the wonderful music she brings to our hearts.She will always be my favourite & I hope to one day get the chance to meet her & see her perform live.God Bless Dolly.

She is my all time favorite singer and I just love every song I she ever sung and wrote.I read every magazine article about her I always wanted to meet her and want to just congradulations for all the songs she wrote and tell her some of those touch home.Also would to just meet her in person.Thanks Tammy

Her mix of country with folk hit big with many country music fans. “ Coat of Many Colors” and “Jolene” are known as some of Parton’s best work. Parton released another solo record in 1974 called “I Will Always Love You” which quickly went number 1 on the country charts.
After making several television and movie appearances, Parton recorded again in 1987. She released a trio album with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt, which was critically claimed. The album went on to stay five weeks at the number 1 Billboard Country Albums chart. The trio also won a Grammy for the Best Country Vocal Performance. Throughout the 90’s and early 2000’s Parton released a string of bluegrass albums which also won Grammy awards. Patron is still known in musical circles as the Iron Butterfly for her resilience and beauty.
