Eagles music biography continued...
Grammy awards, The Eagles have managed to last the test of time. The band has had numerous top hits and albums throughout the years and has even made a comeback after years of idleness.
The band's debut album, Eagles, gave way to the hits "Take It Easy", "Witchy Woman", and "Peaceful Easy Feeling." Their other albums were Desperado, One of These Nights, Hotel California, and The Long Run. "Tequila Sunrise", "Hotel California", and "Heartache Tonight" are just some of the hits off these high selling albums. The single "Lyin' Eyes" off the album One of These Nights won a Grammy. Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is an album that was released before their break up in 1980. This album eventually became the best selling album in US history.
Thirteen years later, the band reunited to release Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles. After the September 11 attacks, The Eagles released the single "A Hole in the World." Their most recent releases were a live DVD called Eagles Farewell Tour I: Live from Melbourne and are currently in the process of recording The Long Road to Eden, an album fans have been awaiting since 1979.
