was apart of other well-known bands such as City Kids, Stark Raving Mad, and 415 which recorded under the name "EMB" but quickly changed its name to the Eric Martin Band. Eventually the Eric Martin Band separated and Eric Martin went on to record his first two solo albums entitled Eric Martin and I'm Only Fooling Myself.

After Mr. Big achieved great success and then temporarily disbanded, Eric Martin recorded his third solo album, Somewhere in the Middle. In 2001, Mr. Big broke up for good this time, this left Eric Martin to solely concentrate on his solo projects. In 2002, he went on to release another solo album entitled I'm Goin' Sane. The next album was Pure and his most recent is Destroying all Monsters.

Right now, he is the lead singer and songwriter of the the Tak Matsumoto Group, who released their first album in 2004 entitled TMG1. He has sung the theme songs for for the MMA series, PRIDE Fighting Championships, and The Last Man Standing. He is married to his drummer, Denise and has recently had twins in 2004.
