Foundations music biography continued...
After realizing he had an ear for music, Curtis meet up with musicians in London. It was in London were Curtis became the lead singer in a new band that opened their own coffee shop called the Butterfly a. Curtis and the band played to entertain customers.
The band's break came when Curtis and his band signed with managers Ron Fairway and Barry Class. "Baby Now That I've Found You" was the first release from Clem Curtis and The Foundations. The single got much airplay and lead to numerous radio and TV appearances. The group released the famous "Build Me Up" in the US soon after, becoming a huge hit. Curtis can also be credited with starring as the Lion in "The Wiz" while performing in London. The Foundations classic hits are loved by all ages.
