lessons. After dropping out of college she worked at a legal office during the day and performed her dancing abilities in Manhattan clubs at night. Her dancing passion led her to become a “Fly Girl” dancer on the television show In Living Color in 1991. Also in 2001, she starred in the movie The Wedding Planner, and is the first actress and singer to have her movie and album both place first in the same week. J to that L-O!: The Remixes was issued in 2002 purposely in the hopes of capitalizing her already monstrous success. It consisted mostly of hip hop remixes of her hits featuring rappers 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, P.Diddy and several others.
On November 26, 2002, she issued her third album This Is Me…Then which generated the hit singles “Jenny from the Block” and “All I Have” featuring LL Cool J. Lopez took a break from her music career to focus on film starring in Gigli, Jersey Girl, Shall We Dance, and Monster-in-Law. She returned in 2005 with her fourth album entitled Rebirth. Although it debuted in the number two spot on the Billboard 200, it was unable to maintain its high position quickly falling off of the charts. The only hit to emerge from the album was “Get Right”. In February 2006, she was featured on the LL Cool J track “Control Myself”. Jennifer is scheduled to release the Spanish album Como Ama Una Mujer in October 2006.
