Joe Tex- I Gotcha- # 2- Joe Tex had been recording since 1955 and scored a number of major I' & b and pop hits. "I Gotcha" would be his highest charted single on the pop side in 1972 and it would also reach the # 1 spot on the I' & b chart. In the summer of 72 he would convert to the Muslim faith and change his name to Joseph Hazziez. He would suffer a heart attack in 1982 and pass away at the young age of 49.
