most popular family acts in music history. Music always played a major part in the brothers' lives growing up in Wyckoff, New Jersey. Their parents are both musicians, so gathering around the piano for sing-alongs was an essential part of regular family bonding. Originally, Nicholas (lead vocals) was going after a solo deal, but when Columbia record company executives heard the songs all three brothers had written and recorded together, they signed the Jonas Brothers as an act and gave Joseph a role as co-lead vocalist and Kevin as guitarist and backing vocals. With the release of the Jonas Brothers first record, It's About Time (2006) their infectious blend of pop and rock music quickly rose to the top of the charts on the strength of singles like "Mandy" and "Year 3000. A second record released by the Jonas Brothers titled "Jonas Brothers" was also very successful on both the pop and rock music charts.



Since the debut of "Year 3000" on the Disney Channel, the Jonas Brothers have enjoyed regular rotation on the Disney Channel, who shows various music videos of the singing sensations. They also appeared in shows such as Hannah Montana and competed in the Disney Channel games during the summer of 2007, which seemed to help skyrocket their musical career even further and set the stage for the launch of their own television series on the Disney Channel called, J.O.N.A.S. And there's no question that these New Jersey siblings will continue to craft hook-filled power pop anthems in the vein of the Ramones, Hanson, and the Modern Lovers that get tween audiences on the edge of their seats. "We all have such passion for what we do and for our band," explains Kevin. Nicholas adds, "Our dreams have really come true and we're just so lucky." So, too, are their fans.
