Kasabian music biography continued...

Sergio Pizzorno (guitar and vocals), Chris Edwards (bass), Chris Karloff (Keyboards and Guitar) and Ash Hannis (drums), the band created a buzz for themselves early on with innovative artwork accompanying their singles. They lived together in a farmhouse in the English countryside while recording their self-titled debut album, which was released in 2004. Four singles off the album landed in the Top 20 within six months of its release, with the third single, "Club Foot," bringing them the greatest notoriety. The album appeared in the Top 5 on the UK charts and led to a high profile performance at the Glastonbury Festival in 2005. One year later founding guitarist Karloff left the group citing creative differences, but Kasabian's second album, Empire had already been recorded. This LP, released in August 2006, debuted at number one on the UK charts, with the title track becoming the band's third Top Ten hit. The band took home an NME Award in 2007 and began work on another album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, later that year. In June 2009, Asylum also reached number one on the UK top 40 charts, signifying Kasabian's ascent to rock royalty.
